Graduated from Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Alexandria, Egypt. Master in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Alexandria, Egypt 1986. Obtaining Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Alexandria, Egypt 1991. Completion of the practical work of  Ph.D. at the Institute  of Organic Chemistry, Technical University of Berlin, Germany. Obtaining a postdoctorlal fellowship supported by the British Council in Egypt at the School of Pharmacy University of London, 1993. Profesor of Pharmacognosy at Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Alexandria, Egypt. Currenly, Professor of Pharmacognosy and Head of Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy, Beirut Arab University, Lebanon. More than 100 publications in national and international journals. Supervising more than 50 theses. Peer reviewer at many academic journals. Organizing and participationg in many national and international conferences. More than 30 years experiences in teaching under and postgraduate courses in the field of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry. More than twenty years experience in quality assurance and national and international accreditation in higher education. Gaining many awards in higher education, research and pharmacy profession.
